sexy back vs Sexy Results
Sexy back vs Sexy Results: Okay so I'm sure every one's heard the Justin Timberlake song "Sexy Back" (admittedly not a terrible cut from him),and those of you who happen to actually be music literate have heard "Sexy Results" by Death From Above 1979 (If you haven't, you might as well stop reading right now, and not bother talking to me again). But here's the thing …and probably the reason JT's doesn't sound horrible to me … has anyone noticed how similar they are? Go listen …do it …right now! See what I mean? Maybe not exactly similar, but someone could mix them up. And do you know what this says to me? SOMEONE stole it! Maybe not the entire song, but definitely some of the music and kind of the words(okay, they're not alike, but vaguely similar, no?) so this got me thinking should people be making millions of dollars for stealing someone else's songs??
P!nk : "Stupid girls"
I'm kinda in love with this song! i find it extremely true and i really hate the way young girls idolize people who are famous/rich for not doing anthing what ever happened to the womens rights movement??? our ancestors fought for women to be able to be doctors lawyers anything that we want but now there's a breed of young girls that want to be a succesful person's trophy wife!! how ridiculous is that!!??

Lucky break for Paris
So Paris Hilton who was supposed to serve 45 days in Century Regional Detention Center. However she actually only served 5 (FIVE FRIGGEN DAYS!!!???are you kidding me!!!???) due to an unexplained "medical condition" bull sh#t she just couldn't handle being away from alcohol and partying for 45 days (it turned ouy to be a rash), so now she's under house arrest for the rest of her sentence apparently she's having a huge party to all of her friends that she couldn't party with for 5 whole days
~this is the press release from Steve Whitmore, spokesperson for the LA County Sheriff's Department, explaining Paris Hilton's release from jail:
"After extensive consultation with Los Angeles County Medical Personnel, including doctors at the Century Regional Detention Facility, it has been determined that Paris Hilton will be reassigned to the Community-Based Alternatives to Custody: The CBAC Program.Ms. Hilton has been fitted with an electronic monitoring device and will serve the remained of her sentence confined to her home. She will now serve the full 45 day sentence. Ms. Hilton has been in custody for five days and therefore will be serving 40 days in the Electronic Monitoring Program under the supervision of the Los Angeles County Probation Department."
In jail Paris had do endure a full body cavity search, a prison shower, lots of solitary confinement, no sidekick, no boose, no drugs and she actually had to eat! -once again poor paris- (P.S. I love this blog... It's called Pink is the new blog ... check it out)

Heidi & Spencer... Engaged????
I love the show "The Hills" sooo much and on the season finally Heidi moved out of her apartment that she shared with her "best friend" Lauren, and into a new place with her sleazy boyfriend Spencer (after he kicked Heidi out of his car when she said "no" the first time) anyways apparently they're engaged! after seeing the show people got a real look inside Spencer's personality and veiwers found out how big of a jack-@$$ he really is (fun facts: spencer has actually been banned from most of the night clubs because noone likes him. Heidi also got a nose job and a boob job after she started to date Spencer.) anyways just thought you guys might like to know... if not don't read my blogs
Rosie O'Donnel Vs. the Veiw
Seeing that clip about Rosie O'Donnel the other week really upset me quite a bit. I cant believe that so many people are going up against her when clearly, she knows what shes talking about and she is a very smart, liberal woman. I hate that Elizabeth kept going on and on about how she likes facts, when clearly she was denying and ignoring every ligitmate fact that George Bush is not a good president, and their is no point to the war going on. although she kept saying that she liked facts, she did not actually present any ligitamate facts about why Bush or the war are positive things. I feel so bad for Rosie, when shes clearly right. I was also deeply offended by how the newscasters were going up against rosie, and of course being bias by only presenting a one-sided argument. the newscasters of course, all had the same conservative point of veiw, and of course all agreed with each other. the only person who didnt really have anything against rosies point of veiw was the female newscaster, but she didnt really seem to have a point of veiw at all. I found this weird, i couldnt help but wonder if she actually did agree with Rosie, but wasnt allowed to agree with her on air or in the public eye. Elizabeth was soon after invited to dine with the president which just seems ridiculous to me. Why would George Bush want her to dine with him, soley based on the fact that she agrees with his side of the argument ? All of those newscasters also supported bush, but im sure that he didnt invite all of them to dine with him. Maybe George Bush just wanted to further insure his support. I really feel like Elizabeth is just really niave and only wants to support the president cause its the good girl, all-american thing to do. I cant help but think that less people would be against Rosie O'Donnel if she wasn't a lesbian. their are alot of homaphobes out there, and maybe they just dont agree with her opinion because they dont agree with her lifestyle. It seems weird to me that its blown out of proportion. Lots of people, in fact most people, disagree with Bush, and some people agree with bush. but most people dont get freaked out on by the media, like Rosie did, and most people dont get invited to dine with the president, like Elizabeth did. what does this all mean ? War: The Easiest Way To Get You
MmmHmm, so not really a huge fan of having to write this one, 'cause it makes me a little bit angry to think about how these people manage to control everything that we see, that leads to them controlling what we believe (oh yes, they do). So i guess the easiest place to see it is when we watch American News Stations (because our lovely Canada would never do such a thing ... maybe it's because we haven't been to war since ... 1940's I think? Or maybe it's because we happen to own all of two networks, and our people just watch Americn TV anyways)As most of you should know (unless you happen to be a hermit)the US has been at war for quite some time now. In order to justify this to the American people, the government used ... what else? THE MEDIA!! a shocking 80% of US citizens were against going to war before Colin Powell went to the UN to ask permission (which he didn't get, but decided to attack anyways), and during the week leading up to his visit, the US news stations aired countless interviews with retired generals and whatnot about the war, and whether or not they thought it was a good idea ... here's the thing ... many of the men who own these networks also have major shares in arms dealers or other industries that would benifit from war, so when they booked poeple to interview, all of them got people that would say the the war was a GOOD thing. So of course, everyone watched these, and most people changed their minds ... going into Iraq, there was something like a 90% approval rate (that changed in only one week!) NOT only that, but now that they're there, they continue to make the war look like a good thing. The army wont let any news cameras on missions that aren't peace keeping type missions, becasue they dont want to look bad. When Iraquis kill americans, they're "attacks from the insurgencies" or if they kill civilians, it's a "mass murder of their own", but American attacks are "operations" and when AMERICANS kill civilians, they're called "casualties". Alot of people don't see these things, but check out next time you watch the coverage of the war, and see what you can pick up on.
Bias Definition
Basically, bias is when some person/company (usually headed by some rich white man who makes more money than most African countries) puts a swing on the way they present news or information to their public. It usually reflects the company/person's own personal views/morals/ethics, even though their audience may not agree. Media bias is sometimes really hard to see, especially if you're not looking for it.
Bias: to cause partiality or favoritism. - From "The Randomhouse Dictionary of the English Language, Second Edition" (that giant one in the library that no one uses ... I bet that if you go and look right now, it's still open to that page ... GO CHECK!!)

Army print in fashion.
Alot of fashions these days include army print clothing, everything from shirts, to pants, to purses. theirs even the new fad of army styled hats. although these can sometimes look really cool, at the same time ive recently been wondering if its a bit disrespectful. lots of teenagers these days will just be wearing some army hat to try to look cool. what kind of a statement is this clothing making though ? is it disrespect ? or is it actually a respectful way to remind people of our troops and the wars across the world? maybe its supposed to be an anti-war statement ? then again, maybe its just another stupid idea from some fashion designer, used to help make more money for the fashion industry. never the less, i still think that this strikes me as an odd thing to come into fashion.
facebook stalking ?
So many teenagers these days have facebook, and although i personally dont have it, ive realized recently that theirs a good reason not to have it: you can so easily stalk people and be stalked by facebook. did you know that all of your personal information is displayed, including your phone number and your address ? not only that, you can veiw every picture the person has had taken of them that are added by other people. you can veiw this even if youre not friends with them, as long as youre in the same network, such as the ernestown network. Alot of people use facebook as a popularity contest, so even if they hardly know someone, they will add them or allow them to be added. this is weird, cause even if you've only met someone once, you can read all of thier information and veiw all of their pictures. you can also veiw all of their friends, so you know who they hang out with and everything. you can even read thier notes, which can sometimes be really personal. even the quizzes display so much personal information about themselves, and then just anyone can read it. the thing about facebook that freaks me out the most is the fact that you can read peoples conversations over the wall, simply by clicking wall-to-wall. you can see whole conversations about what people are doing, where they're going etc. so many teenagers dont even realize how dangerous it could be to have soo much personal information on the internet. i think its pretty dangerous, their are so many creepers out there these days. :
