Seeing that clip about Rosie O'Donnel the other week really upset me quite a bit. I cant believe that so many people are going up against her when clearly, she knows what shes talking about and she is a very smart, liberal woman. I hate that Elizabeth kept going on and on about how she likes facts, when clearly she was denying and ignoring every ligitmate fact that George Bush is not a good president, and their is no point to the war going on. although she kept saying that she liked facts, she did not actually present any ligitamate facts about why Bush or the war are positive things. I feel so bad for Rosie, when shes clearly right. I was also deeply offended by how the newscasters were going up against rosie, and of course being bias by only presenting a one-sided argument. the newscasters of course, all had the same conservative point of veiw, and of course all agreed with each other. the only person who didnt really have anything against rosies point of veiw was the female newscaster, but she didnt really seem to have a point of veiw at all. I found this weird, i couldnt help but wonder if she actually did agree with Rosie, but wasnt allowed to agree with her on air or in the public eye. Elizabeth was soon after invited to dine with the president which just seems ridiculous to me. Why would George Bush want her to dine with him, soley based on the fact that she agrees with his side of the argument ? All of those newscasters also supported bush, but im sure that he didnt invite all of them to dine with him. Maybe George Bush just wanted to further insure his support. I really feel like Elizabeth is just really niave and only wants to support the president cause its the good girl, all-american thing to do. I cant help but think that less people would be against Rosie O'Donnel if she wasn't a lesbian. their are alot of homaphobes out there, and maybe they just dont agree with her opinion because they dont agree with her lifestyle. It seems weird to me that its blown out of proportion. Lots of people, in fact most people, disagree with Bush, and some people agree with bush. but most people dont get freaked out on by the media, like Rosie did, and most people dont get invited to dine with the president, like Elizabeth did. what does this all mean ? I'm glad that you are on Rosie's side too. It kinda legitimizes the whole "Captain Awesome" thing.
